Today turned out to be a lovely day for a Ten on Ten. We fitted in lots of household chores and plenty of playing and exploring too.
I did my Ten on Ten on the 11th again because if the 10th falls on a Sunday I simply just forget! The 11th turned out to be another glorious day for a Ten on Ten though. After a productive start to the school day we got out on the south coast cliffs with our fellow Nature Explorers for a few hours and I was reminded once again that nature really is the best playground.
I did my Ten on Ten a day late on the 11th, but it was a positively glorious day thanks to sunshine and poems, journaling and friends. It’s days like these that remind me why I love home educating and days like these that make me thankful for this island home. Needless to say it was pretty easy to spot the beauty in the ordinary.
So I’m a little later than the tenth but it’s the practice that’s important not the timing, right? We had a quiet day at home for most of yesterday with our usual school day routines in the morning as well as a few festive activities to keep us busy. Then in the afternoon the girls went for their weekly playdate with their Nanny Goats and I finally found some inspiration for my Christmas chalkboard.
Such a beautiful autumn morning for a daughter date with my first born. We played Pooh Bear amongst the pine trees, marvelled at the impressive fungi specimens and spotted new-to-us birds. We then made it back home in time to beat the rain, or rather dance in it and then enjoyed a cosy afternoon indoors.
It’s easy to spot the beauty on glorious autumn days like this.
