Last week I turned the big 3-0 and to embrace this next decade I decided to make a list of 30 things I would like to do in my 30’s. Some are big life goals, the things I dream about and others are simply fun or grown up things I’ve been meaning to get round to. In no particular order…
- Get a good camera and learn how to use it!
- Go on a flower arranging course
- Learn to embroider
- Learn calligraphy
- Open an Etsy shop
- Start a letter writers group in Guernsey
- Make a patchwork quilt for each of my girls
- Get a pet (most likely a rabbit)
- Go kayaking
- Start a veggie patch
- Climb a mountain
- Make a Will
- Become a blood donor
- Sign up to be an organ donor
- Get fit! (aka. get back to pre-pregnancy weight)
- Donate my wedding dress to charity
- Walk the entire cliffs of Guernsey (in stages)
- Read all of Agatha Christie’s Poirot
- Read the complete collection of Winnie the Pooh
- Go to 10 new (to me) restaurants on the island
- Go to a West End Show in London
- Go on a weekend away with a gal pal
- Go to the Bristol Balloon Fiesta
- Take my girls to the Lake District
- Take my girls to the other Channel Islands – Herm, Sark, Alderney, Jersey & Lihou
- Visit Keighley in Yorkshire (where my Gran was evacuated to during WW2)
- Visit friends in Australia & New Zealand
- Visit an Asian country
- Grow our family through adoption
- Celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary in style!
Ooh, I love number 26! And the others too 🙂

Thought you would, Cherie! Maybe I can shear a Kiwi sheep whilst we’re there and knock number 13 off my list too! 😉

I think that’s a good list! Always good to have a variety levels of things to aim for – good luck with it! 🙂

Me too! My top ones are definitely number 26 and 29. If I get just those two ticked off I’ll be a very happy lady. 🙂
