We had such a special day on Saturday celebrating our little Sunshine’s first birthday. We marked the occasion by hosting an afternoon tea for family and a few close friends and it was such a lovely day.
It was a really easy theme to pull off as the colour theme was subtle – just yellow, white and taupe – and enabled me to make use of lots of neutral tableware and display items I already had around the house.
I then only needed to get a little bit crafty to turn jam jars into vases and stamp out a few food labels. Some classic balloons and pretty flowers were then the perfect finishing touches and a few generous friends assisted with baking.
Blossom seemed to really enjoy spending her day with family and friends and as parents we were delighted to be able to celebrate it with pretty much zero stress – long may this continue!
